Synopsis

The remote Red Hat CoreOS host is missing a security update for OpenShift Container Platform 4.12.23.

Description

The remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:3924 advisory.

- A compliance problem was found in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Red Hat discovered that, when FIPS mode was enabled, not all of the cryptographic modules in use were FIPS-validated. (CVE-2023-3089)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHCOS OpenShift Container Platform 4.12.23 package based on the guidance in RHSA-2023:3924.
