Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for linux-firmware.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2024:0561 advisory.

 The linux-firmware packages contain all of the firmware files that are required by various devices to operate.

 Security Fix(es):

 * hw amd: Return Address Predictor vulnerability leading to information disclosure (CVE-2023-20569)

 * hw: amd: Cross-Process Information Leak (CVE-2023-20593)
