Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux AMI host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of sudo installed on the remote host is prior to 1.8.23-10.58. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS-2024-1917 advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update sudo' to update your system.
