Synopsis

The remote CentOS host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2023:3840 advisory.

 - Buffer Overflow vulnerability found in SQLite3 v.3.27.1 and before allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service via a crafted script. (CVE-2020-24736)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
