Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

The version of QNAP QTS / QuTS hero installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the QSA-23-33 advisory:

 - An OS command injection vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow authenticated administrators to execute commands via a network. (CVE-2023-39302)

- An improper authentication vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow users to compromise the security of the system via a network. (CVE-2023-39303)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
