Description

The remote host is affected by the vulnerability described in GLSA-202402-32 (btrbk: Remote Code Execution)

 - Btrbk before 0.31.2 allows command execution because of the mishandling of remote hosts filtering SSH commands using ssh_filter_btrbk.sh in authorized_keys. (CVE-2021-38173)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

All btrbk users should upgrade to the latest version:

 # emerge --sync # emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose >=app-backup/btrbk-0.31.2
