Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of ncurses installed on the remote host is prior to 6.0-8.20170212. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2024-2482 advisory.

ncurses 6.4-20230610 has a NULL pointer dereference in tgetstr in tinfo/lib_termcap.c. (CVE-2023-45918)

Run 'yum update ncurses' to update your system.
