The remote openSUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote openSUSE 15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2024:0082-1 advisory.

- In RPyC before 6.0.0, when a server exposes a method that calls the attribute named __array__ for a client-provided netref (e.g., np.array(client_netref)), a remote attacker can craft a class that results in remote code execution. (CVE-2024-27758)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python3-rpyc package.
