Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 22.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-6720-1 advisory.

Kentaro Kawane discovered that Cacti incorrectly handled user provided

input sent through request parameters to the graph_view.php script.

A remote authenticated attacker could use this issue to perform

SQL injection attacks.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected cacti package.
