The remote CentOS host is missing a security update for less.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 9 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the less-590-3.el9 build changelog.

 - close_altfile in filename.c in less before 606 omits shell_quote calls for LESSCLOSE. (CVE-2022-48624)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the CentOS 9 Stream less package.
