Description

The remote Fedora 40 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the FEDORA-2024-14db7b21a2 advisory.

- RCE vulnerability with .rdoc_options in RDoc [fedora-40] (CVE-2024-27281)

- Buffer overread vulnerability in StringIO [fedora-40] (CVE-2024-27280)

- sp2ip reports: If attacker-supplied data is provided to the Ruby regex compiler, it is possible to extract arbitrary heap data relative to the start of the text, including pointers and sensitive strings. (CVE-2024-27282)
