Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3809 advisory.

- In KDE libksieve before 23.03.80, kmanagesieve/session.cpp places a cleartext password in server logs because a username variable is accidentally given a password value. (CVE-2023-52723)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the kio-sieve packages.
