The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2024:1491-1 advisory.

- A use-after-free flaw was found in the __ext4_remount in fs/ext4/super.c in ext4 in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a local user to cause an information leak problem while freeing the old quota file names before a potential failure, leading to a use-after-free. (CVE-2024-0775)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel-livepatch-5_14_21-150500_11-rt package.
