Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.Description
The version of ghostscript installed on the remote host is prior to 9.54.0-9. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2024-2544 advisory.- Artifex Ghostscript through 10.01.2 mishandles permission validation for pipe devices (with the %pipe% prefix or the | pipe character prefix). (CVE-2023-36664)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
