Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 16.11 prior to 16.11.2.
A problem with the processing logic for Google Chat Messages integration may lead to a regular expression DoS attack on the server. (CVE-2023-6688)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 16.11.2 or later.
