Fortinet Firewall is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FortiWeb installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FG-IR-22-167 advisory.

- A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability [CWE-121] in the CA sign functionality of FortiWeb version 7.0.1 and below, 6.4 all versions, version 6.3.19 and below may allow an authenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution via specifically crafted password. (CVE-2022-30306)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Please upgrade to FortiWeb version 6.3.20/7.0.2 or later.
