Synopsis

The remote CentOS host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2024:3094 advisory.

 - CPAN.pm before 2.35 does not verify TLS certificates when downloading distributions over HTTPS.
 (CVE-2023-31484)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected perl-CPAN package.
