The remote CentOS host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2024:3095 advisory.

- Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Vorbis-tools v.1.4.2 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code and cause a denial of service during the conversion of wav files to ogg files. (CVE-2023-43361)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected vorbis-tools package.
