Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing multiple security updates.

Description

According to the versions of the ncurses packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 ncurses 6.4-20230610 has a NULL pointer dereference in tgetstr in tinfo/lib_termcap.c.(CVE-2023-45918)

 NCurse v6.4-20230418 was discovered to contain a segmentation fault via the component
 _nc_wrap_entry().(CVE-2023-50495)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS ncurses security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected ncurses packages.
