Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the python-pillow package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 Pillow through 10.1.0 allows PIL.ImageMath.eval Arbitrary Code Execution via the environment parameter, a different vulnerability than CVE-2022-22817 (which was about the expression parameter).(CVE-2023-50447)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS python-pillow security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-pillow packages.
