Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote host is prior to 5.4.273-186.370. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2KERNEL-5.4-2024-067 advisory.

 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

 aoe: fix the potential use-after-free problem in aoecmd_cfg_pkts (CVE-2024-26898)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Run 'yum update kernel' to update your system.
