Synopsis

Mattermost Desktop running on the remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

According to MMSA-2024-00326, Mattermost Desktop App versions <= 5.7.0 fail to disable certain Electron debug flags which allows for bypassing TCC restrictions on macOS.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mattermost Desktop 1.17.6 or later.
