Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of terraform installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-3817 advisory.

 - HashiCorp's go-getter library is vulnerable to argument injection when executing Git to discover remote branches. This vulnerability does not affect the go-getter/v2 branch and package. (CVE-2024-3817)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
