Synopsis
The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.Description
The version of docker-compose / moby-compose / moby-engine / docker-buildx installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-23650 advisory.- BuildKit is a toolkit for converting source code to build artifacts in an efficient, expressive and repeatable manner. A malicious BuildKit client or frontend could craft a request that could lead to BuildKit daemon crashing with a panic. The issue has been fixed in v0.12.5. As a workaround, avoid using BuildKit frontends from untrusted sources. (CVE-2024-23650)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
