Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of python-gevent / grpc installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2020-22217 advisory.

- Buffer overflow vulnerability in c-ares before 1_16_1 thru 1_17_0 via function ares_parse_soa_reply in ares_parse_soa_reply.c. (CVE-2020-22217)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
