Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of apparmor installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-31755 advisory.

 - cJSON v1.7.17 was discovered to contain a segmentation violation, which can trigger through the second parameter of function cJSON_SetValuestring at cJSON.c. (CVE-2024-31755)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
