Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of fluent-bit installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-34250 advisory.

 - A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was discovered in Bytecode Alliance wasm-micro-runtime v2.0.0 which allows a remote attacker to cause at least a denial of service via the wasm_loader_check_br function in core/iwasm/interpreter/wasm_loader.c. (CVE-2024-34250)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
