Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for libndp.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2024:4643 advisory.

Libndp is a library (used by NetworkManager) that provides a wrapper for the IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol. It also provides a tool named ndptool for sending and receiving NDP messages.
