Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing multiple security updates.

Description

According to the versions of the freeglut packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 freeglut through 3.4.0 was discovered to contain a memory leak via the menuEntry variable in the glutAddMenuEntry function.(CVE-2024-24259)

 freeglut 3.4.0 was discovered to contain a memory leak via the menuEntry variable in the glutAddSubMenu function.(CVE-2024-24258)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS freeglut security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected freeglut packages.
