Keras < 2.13 Arbitrary Code Injection

critical Nessus Plugin ID 205011

Synopsis

The remote host is affected by an Arbitrary Code Injection vulnerability.

Description

The version of Keras installed on the remote host is prior to 2.13. It is, therefore, affected by an arbitrary code injection vulnerability in TensorFlow's Keras framework (<2.13) which allows attackers to execute arbitrary code with the same permissions as the application using a model that allow arbitrary code irrespective of the application.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Keras version 2.13 or later.
