Synopsis

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - A Denial of Service (DoS) condition has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting with 12.6 before 17.0.6, 17.1 prior to 17.1.4, and 17.2 prior to 17.2.2. It is possible for an attacker to cause a denial of service using crafted adoc files. (CVE-2024-4210)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 17.0.6, 17.1.4, 17.2.2 or later.
