Synopsis

A password management application installed on the remote host is affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability.

Description

The version of AgileBits 1Password installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 8.10.38. It is, therefore, affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows local attackers to exfiltrate vault items by bypassing macOS-specific security mechanisms.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to AgileBits 1Password 8.10.38 or later.
