Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Adobe Substance 3D Designer installed on the remote host is prior to 14.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb24-67 advisory.

 - Substance3D - Designer versions 13.1.2 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2024-41864)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Substance 3D Designer version 14.0 or later.
