Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the gnutls packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 A flaw has been discovered in GnuTLS where an application crash can be induced when attempting to verify a specially crafted .pem bundle using the 'certtool --verify-chain' command.(CVE-2024-28835)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS gnutls security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected gnutls packages.
