Synopsis

A VPN client installed on remote host is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

A privilege escalation vulnerability in the Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect app on Windows devicesenables a local user to execute programs with elevated privileges.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Palo Alto GlobalProtect Agent 6.1.5, 6.2.4, 6.3.1 or later
