Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is affected by a hardcoded credential vulnerability.

Description

The version of SolarWinds Web Help Desk installed on the remote host is prior to 12.8.3 HF2. It is, therefore, affected by a hardcoded credential vulnerability, that, if exploited, would allow an attacker to run commands on the host machine.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Web Help Desk version 12.8.3 Hotfix 2 or later.
