CBL Mariner 2.0 Security Update: python-tensorboard / golang (CVE-2022-23773)

high Nessus Plugin ID 206354

Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of python-tensorboard / golang installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-23773 advisory.

- cmd/go in Go before 1.16.14 and 1.17.x before 1.17.7 can misinterpret branch names that falsely appear to be version tags. This can lead to incorrect access control if an actor is supposed to be able to create branches but not tags. (CVE-2022-23773)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
