Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of python-pygments installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2021-20270 advisory.

- An infinite loop in SMLLexer in Pygments versions 1.5 to 2.7.3 May lead to denial of service when performing syntax highlighting of a Standard ML (SML) source file, as demonstrated by input that only contains the exception keyword. (CVE-2021-20270)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
