Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 6.02, has python-requests packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A flaw was found in the way python-requests set the domain cookie parameter for certain HTTP responses. A remote attacker could use this flaw to modify a cookie to be sent to an arbitrary URL. (CVE-2015-2296)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL python-requests packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
