Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 6.02, has tpm2-tools packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A flaw was found in tpm2-tools. tpm2_import used a fixed AES key for the inner wrapper, potentially allowing a MITM attacker to unwrap the inner portion and reveal the key being imported. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality. (CVE-2021-3565)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL tpm2-tools packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
