Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 6.02, has dnf packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- A flaw was found in libdnf's signature verification functionality. This flaw allows an attacker to achieve code execution if they can alter the header information of an RPM package and then trick a user or system into installing it. The highest risk of this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability. (CVE-2021-3445)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL dnf packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
