Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of frr installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-27913 advisory.

 - ospf_te_parse_te in ospfd/ospf_te.c in FRRouting (FRR) through 9.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (ospfd daemon crash) via a malformed OSPF LSA packet, because of an attempted access to a missing attribute field. (CVE-2024-27913)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
