The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- An issue has been discovered in GitLab EE affecting all versions starting from 11.2 before 17.1.7, all versions starting from 17.2 before 17.2.5, all versions starting from 17.3 before 17.3.2. It was possible for a guest to read the source code of a private project by using group templates. (CVE-2024-4660)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 17.1.7, 17.2.5, 17.3.2 or later.
