Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the dnsmasq package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 dnsmasq 2.9 is vulnerable to Integer Overflow via forward_query.(CVE-2023-49441)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS dnsmasq security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected dnsmasq packages.
