Synopsis

The remote Rocky Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Rocky Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RLSA-2024:6529 advisory.

 * dovecot: using a large number of address headers may trigger a denial of service (CVE-2024-23184)

 * dovecot: very large headers can cause resource exhaustion when parsing message (CVE-2024-23185)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Rocky Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
