Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a buffer overflow vulnerability.

Description

The remote host is running a version of FortiManager that is 6.2.x, 6.4.x 7.0.x, 7.2.x through 7.2.4, or 7.4.x through 7.4.1. It is, therefore, affected by an authorization bypass vulnerability through user-controlled key [CWE-639] vulnerability that may allow a remote attacker with low privileges to read sensitive data via a crafted HTTP request.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update FortiManager to version 7.4.1, 7.2.5 or later.
