Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of IntelliJ IDEA installed on the remote host is prior to 2024.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the advisory.

 - In JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2024.1 hTML injection via the project name was possible (CVE-2024-46970)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to IntelliJ IDEA version 2024.1 or later.
