Synopsis

SolarWinds Serv-U is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of SolarWinds Serv-U installed on the remote host is prior to 15.2.3. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the serv-u_15_2_3 advisory.

 - Share/IncomingWizard.htm in SolarWinds Serv-U before 15.2.3 mishandles the user-supplied SenderEmail parameter, aka Share URL XSS. (CVE-2021-32604)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Serv-U version 15.2.3 or later.
