The remote Rocky Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Rocky Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RLSA-2024:7136 advisory.

 * encoding/gob: golang: Calling Decoder.Decode on a message which contains deeply nested structures can cause a panic due to stack exhaustion (CVE-2024-34156)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected git-lfs, git-lfs-debuginfo and / or git-lfs-debugsource packages.
