Synopsis

The remote CentOS Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 6 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:2761 advisory.

 - Use after free in extensions in Google Chrome prior to 83.0.4103.116 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted Chrome Extension. (CVE-2020-6509)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected chromium-browser package.
